What is the difference between Group rules vs Device rules?

Updated on 15 Jul, 2025

Every device in your network belongs to one group, and the group rules you set like content filters, time limits, and access schedules are automatically applied to all devices in that group.

However, you can also apply custom rules to individual devices. These device-level rules take priority over the group rules, allowing you to fine-tune internet access for specific needs.

This gives you great flexibility – for example, you can block social media for a whole group but still allow it for one device within that group.
